Authorities have released the name of the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center inmate that passed away Friday after being found unresponsive in his cell.
County Attorney Dave Eubanks says that 46-year-old David C. Roberts of Scottsbluff was the detainee that passed away. He was arrested Thursday on a violation of the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry.
Any time a person dies while in custody, a Grand Jury is required to convene to ensure there was no wrong doing.
