A series of controlled buys conducted by the WING Drug Task Force a year ago has resulted in a trio of felony drug distribution charges for a rural Scottsbluff man.

33-year-old Shane Lucero was scheduled to make an initial appearance in Scotts Bluff County Court Friday morning on two counts of Distribution of Methamphetamine 28 up to 140 grams, and one count of Distribution of Meth, 10 up to 28 grams.

According to court records, Lucero sold just under 28 grams of the controlled substance to a CI in February 2023.

WING investigators say Cooperating Individuals were then able to purchase about 55 grams of meth from Lucero two more times, once later that month and again in March that year.

One of the charges is a class 1-D felony, punishable by a prison term of a mandatory minimum three years up to a maximum of fifty years, while the other two are class 1-C felonies with punishment of a mandatory five years up to a total of fifty years.
