Scotts Bluff County’s Transit Manager has been honored by a statewide association of public transit officials.

Curt Richter, who oversees the Tri-City Roadrunner operation, has been announced as Manager of the Year by the Nebraska Association of Transportation Providers.

18 employees of the transit department nominated Richter, with common themes that he works hard to ensure the agency offers safe, effective, timely and friendly transportation services, he advocates for passengers and makes them a priority.

NATP, which was formed to promote effective and efficient public transportation throughout the state, announced the award during their Annual Meeting and Manager’s Workshop in Kearney this week.
