The Chief Operating Officer of Regional West Health Services has been named to the organization’s top administrative post on a temporary basis.

According to a release from Regional West, the Board of Directors met Thursday evening and appointed Amanda Vick as interim CEO.

Vick takes over the post following the announced departure earlier this week of former President and CEO John Mentgen, who exercised an option in his employment contract.

According to her Linked-In profile, Vick has been with Regional West for nearly three and a half years, having assumed the roles of COO and Chief Nursing Officer since May of this year.

The Regional West release says the Executive Committee will meet soon to continue work on the leadership transition, and determine the search process for a new President and CEO.
