Red and Blue split wins at Panhandle Prep All-Star Basketball Friday night

The 30th Annual Panhandle Prep All-Star Basketball games were held Friday night at Scottsbluff High School with the Blue Girls team and Red Boys team earning wins.

In the girls game it was Scottsbluff’s Paige Horne picking up MVP honors. Playing on her home floor for the last time, Horne scored a game high 25 points (17 of which came in the second half) in leading the Blue team to the 76-52 win.

The boys game had a competitive finish with the Red holding off the Blue for the 91-87 win.

Levi Curtiss of Douglas WY took home the MVP trophy for the boys game leading the Red team with 23 points. It was a big night for Curtiss as put up an impressive showing the Dunk Contest to take home that title.

Isak Doty of Sidney, in the loss, scored 25 points for the Blue team.

The Three-Point Contest winners were Gering’s Jackson Howard and Wheatland’s Lily Nichols.
