A Terrytown woman who was found guilty on drug distribution charges following a May bench trial has been sentenced to prison.
56-year-old Tina Sanchez was arrested in November following a traffic stop, where a police K9 helped officer locate 10.8 grams of suspected methamphetamine, a glass pipe with white residue, and a digital scale.
Sanchez stood trial on May 13th on charges including Possession of Meth 10-27 grams and no Drug Tax Stamp, and on June 25th Judge Andrea Miller found Sanchez guilty on all counts.
On Friday, Judge Miller sentenced Sanchez to a total of 3- 5 years in prison, and with it being a Class 1D Felony, she’ll have to serve a minimum of three years in prison and won’t receive any good time for early release.
