Pleasant Valley Fire Reaches Full Containment

Firefighters in Eastern Wyoming worked through the night to reach full containment on the Pleasant Valley Fire.

Around 5 a.m. officials announced they had finally reached 100% containment after a weeklong endeavor.

Firefighters are still coordinating final mop-up and rehab activities on private, state, and BLM lands. It is expected for this important work to continue through this week.

An estimated 29,000 acres were scorched across Goshen and Platte Counties as a result of the Pleasant Valley Fire.
