The Western Nebraska Pioneers made it a two game sweep over the Cage Rat Collegiates on Wednesday night winning at Oregon Trail Park Stadium, 12-1, in seven innings.
A few notable performances…
- Starting pitcher Brooks Farrell tossed the seven inning complete game for the win, he struck out three and allowed just one run.
- Jackson Yeager played long ball, homering in the fifth inning, and Yeager finished with 4 RBI in the game
- The Pioneers also got mult-hit games from Kieran Gaffney and Bryce Peterson.
Tomorrow night the Pioneers will host a collection of legion all-stars from the region. That team will be made up of players from WESTCO, Gering, Alliance, and Sidney.
