The Western Nebraska Pioneers have started their homestand with three straight wins at Oregon Trail Park Stadium.

Two of the three wins have come via the run rule. On Friday they beat the Australian Select Colts 11-2 in seven innings and on Saturday it was the Pios getting a walk off three-run homer from Ethan Mooser (Northern Colorado) in the bottom of the ninth inning as they beat the Aussies 8-5.

Then last night the Pioneers started their two game series with the Greeley Grays with another seven inning win, this time the final was 13-1, as they blew the game open with nine runs in the fourth inning.

Jaden Onaca (San Jose State) got the win by working five innings and allowing just one run, he struck out one and walked three.

Luke Noack (Paris JC TX), Bryce Peterson (WNCC), and Koy Carpenter (McMurray TX) all had multi-RBI games.

On Monday night the Pioneers will again square off with the Greeley Grays and we’ll have the broadcast on KNEB AM 960/100.3 FM starting at 6:20 with first pitch at 6:35 pm.
