A combination of good pitching and a bunch of hits offensively produced a 13-0 Pioneers win over the Denver Cougars in seven innings on Wednesday night at Oregon Trail Park Stadium.

Jaden Onaca (San Jose State) got the start and picked up the win, he worked six innings of shutout ball and struck out four while only walking one.

The hitting star of the night was EJ Barnes (San Jose State) as he went 2-3 with a fifth inning grand slam and scored two runs.

The Pioneers collected 10 hits as a team with Aidan Young (Amarillo College) and Luke Noach (Paris JC, TX) joining Barnes with multi-hit games.

The Pioneers will go for the sweep of the Denver Cougars tonight with first pitch at 6:35 pm and you can catch the broadcast on KNEB AM 960/100.3 FM starting at 6:20 pm.
