Oregon Trail Community Foundation has awarded a $15,000 grant to Riverside Discovery Center for the completion of the new carnivore exhibit. The projected completion date of the project is March 31, 2024.
According to a news release, the remodeled exhibit will double the size of the previous exhibit space. These renovations will provide an enriching space for a future species to reside at Riverside Discovery Center.
Specialized modifications are also being made to aid Keepers and Veterinarians in providing quality care for the animals exhibited.
In the release, Riverside Discovery Center officials say they greatly appreciate organizations like the Oregon Trail Community Foundation for their ongoing support. Through grants such as this and in connection with other generous donations, Riverside Discovery Center continues to fulfill its mission:
