OTCF makes grant to Potter’s Wheel Ministries

Potter’s Wheel Ministries (PWM), a steadfast charitable organization dedicated to providing vital support and services, proudly announces the receipt of a generous $5,000 grant from the Oregon Trail Community Foundation. This significant contribution will bolster PWM’s ongoing efforts in transforming lives through its Potter’s House for Men program, a 12-month Faith-Based Sober Living initiative.

The grant will specifically fund the renovation of two apartments within Potter’s House, enhancing the living environment for program residents. Potter’s House for Men serves as a beacon of hope for individuals seeking “recovery from life,” offering a comprehensive and faith-centered approach to sober living.

“The Oregon Trail Community Foundation is proud to offer this grant to the Potter’s Wheel Ministry, helping to restore dignity and hope to those in need in our great community,” says Cathy McDaniel, OTCF Executive Director.

“Potter’s Wheel Ministries is profoundly grateful to the Oregon Trail Community Foundation for their unwavering support and belief in our mission of “Transforming Our Community… One Life at a Time “said Tony Bergmann, Executive Director of PWM.”This grant will enable us to provide a dignified and supportive environment for our residents, fostering self-worth, motivation, and successful transition towards independence.”

PWM, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, is committed to holistic community development through various initiatives including a Jail/Prison Outreach, Community Food Pantry, Family Services, Distribution Center, and a Resale Store. Notably, PWM does not accept government funds, relying solely on God’s grace and community support to sustain its vital programs.

“We firmly believe in the transformative power of faith and community support,” added Tony B. “With the Oregon Trail Community Foundation’s generous grant, we will continue empowering individuals to overcome adversity and achieve lasting independence, thereby contributing to a safer and more prosperous community for all.”
