Authorities say only minor injuries were involved when a passenger vehicle turned in front of a semi hauling sugar beets in Scottsbluff Tuesday morning.
Scottsbluff Police, Fire and Valley Ambulance were called to the intersection of Highway 26 and Avenue I just before 10 a.m. for an injury accident, finding the sedan in the eastbound lanes facing west, and the semi stopped a short distance down the highway.
Investigator determined the Chevrolet Equinox driven by a 92-year-old female from Scottsbluff was originally westbound, and failed to yield to the eastbound semi-truck.
The woman was taken to Regional West Medical Center with what were deemed minor injuries.
Traffic was diverted around the intersection for about 45 minutes, and no citations were immediately issued.
