Yoga, live music, and a wide variety of beer, wine, ciders and spirits highlighted the 13th Annual NEXT Young Professionals Best of the West Beer and Wine Fest Saturday afternoon at the 18th Street Plaza in downtown Scottsbluff.
NEXT President Taylor Eckman says that this year they worked hard to get a lot of breweries from across the region to be on site for the event. Representatives from breweries in Scottsbluff, Alliance, Ogallala, Broken Bow and Torrington were set up on the perimeter, while retail offerings from a larger radius were being served up under the canopies.
Eckman says that each year, the group likes to donate the proceeds of the event to a local cause or non-profit, and that remained true for this year’s event.
“So we’re donating all of the proceeds to Life Change Connection, which is a local nonprofit started by Neil Blomenkamp here to help people living with type two diabetes to pay for the expenses of living with diabetes.”
NEXT plans on presenting a check to Life Change Connections later this summer.
