New Scottsbluff City Council Members Eager to Get to Work
December 16th, 2022 | Ryan Murphy

On Monday night, the new Scottsbluff City Council will convene for their first full session since two new members were sworn in earlier this month.

New council members Matt Salomon and Betsy Vidlak shared with KNEB News their hopes as they begin their first term.

Vidlak says the first few months will be a learning curve. “I think I have a lot to learn from the current members and Matt and I are excited to join and get to work on all the projects they have.”

Salomon says there’s a lot he’d like to tackle during his first term on City Council.

“There’s a lot of projects… I’d like to finish the landfill and take another shot on trying to get the aquatic center done,” he explains. “Maybe we’ll have to review it based on the input on the public- what they’d like to see, either smaller, bigger, different location.”

The Scottsbluff City Council convenes on the first and third Monday of every month at 6 p.m. at City Hall.
