Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol arrested a New Jersey man over the weekend after finding 20 pounds of cocaine during a Interstate 80 traffic stop in York County.
NSP spokesman Cody Thomas says a trooper stopped an eastbound BMW X5 for speeding near Waco around 12:15 p.m. Saturday, and became became suspicious of criminal activity.
With the assistance of the York County Sheriff’s Office, a search of the vehicle revealed 20 pounds of cocaine inside several hidden compartments in the vehicle.
The driver, 40-year-old Pablo Suruy Hernandez of Paterson, New Jersey, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver, and was lodged in the York County Jail.
