April 30th, 2024 | News Release

The Nebraska Auctioneers Association has announced the 2024 Auctioneer of the Year – Dean Dallman, Franklin, NE

Dean graduated from Reisch World Wide College of Auctioneering at Mason City, Iowa, in 1976, and then embarked on a lifelong career as an auctioneer. He auctioned for K & S Auctions in Kearney for over 10 years. He also went into partnership with the late Keith Kort, forming Kort & Dallmann Auctions, Franklin, NE, which Dean still owns and operates today. He has had a career in the livestock auction business as manager and auctioneer at Franklin Sale Barn, as well as auctioning at other livestock markets. He has auctioned at the Blue Hill, Red Cloud, and Alma livestock barns and is currently an auctioneer at the Lexington Livestock Market.

Dean has been the long-time manager and auctioneer for Macon Lions Club Machinery Auction. He holds a Nebraska Real Estate license and is currently a salesperson for Marshall Land Brokers & Auctioneers of Kearney.

Dean has been a member of the Nebraska Auctioneers Association since his graduation from auction school and very rarely misses an annual convention. He has served for two terms on the board of directors for the association and has always remained an active member.

Dean has put together an impressive body of work in the auction business and is a loyal member of our state association. Through all the years in the auction business, Dean managed to have a very successful farming and ranching operation with his father, Myron. His volunteerism within his community is impeccable.

Dean was joined at the banquet by his parents, Dean and Donna Dallmann, Franklin, NE; girlfriend Trudy Uden, Franklin, NE; special friends Jim and Kim Fouts, Republican City, NE; and Ryan and Stacy Rogers, Alma, NE.

Congratulations to the Nebraska Auctioneers 2024 Auctioneer of the Year, Col. Dean Dallman of Franklin, Nebraska.
