Residents of the Cornhusker State are apparently among some of the happiest people in the country.
A 2024 WalletHub Report on the happiest states in America placed Nebraska number nine on their list, with Hawaii, Maryland, New Jersey, Utah and Delaware making up the top five.
The financial website looked at all 50 states across 30 key metrics, to determine where Americans exhibit the best combination of emotional, physical, economic and social well-being.
Among nearby states in the top 20, South Dakota was 12th, Kansas ranked 18th and Iowa 19th.
Meanwhile, Louisiana ranked as the least happiest place in America.
