A 39-year-old Morrill man is facing a felony drug distribution charge when a traffic stop in Scottsbluff led to discovery of dealer-quantities of suspected methamphetamine in his home.

Matthew Hall is facing charges including a class 1B felony of Possession with Intent to Distribute meth, 28 up to 140 grams, within 1,000 feet of a school or playground.

In court records, Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Deputies recognized Hall while he was driving in Scottsbluff last Thursday morning, and knowing Hall’s Colorado license was revoked, pulled the car over.

A search of his person uncovered a red bag with residue testing preliminary positive for meth, and a search warrant was obtained for his residence in Morrill.

At that location, investigators say they found a glass jar with a white crystal substance a laundry room closet weighing about 133 grams, and in a bedroom with multiple identifiers for Hall found a similar jar with white residue, along with multiple rolls of red bags and a digital scale.

Hall’s initial appearance is scheduled for Monday afternoon in Scotts Bluff County Court.
