Nebraska will be represented by a young woman from the Panhandle once again in the next Miss America scholarship pageant.
Morgan Baird of Gering was crowned Miss Nebraska 2023 Saturday night concluding a week-long competition in North Platte.
Baird won the title of Miss Scotts Bluff County last year and in this year’s scholarship contest took top honors with her dancing in the talent competition.
MacKinzie Gregory was second runner up in the contest featuring 13 young women from across the state.
