The rains rolled into Gering right around the start of the noon hour on Wednesday as teams competed at the Gering Invite at Monument Shadows Golf Course.
Mitchell’s Cael Peters backed up his win at the Chadron Invite with another win yesterday. Peters topped the field with a one under par round of 71 to win by two shots over Nash Coleman of Cheyenne East.
Scottsbluff took home the team title with a combined score of 307. They were led by Noah Shaddick and Tommy Dredla, who both posted rounds of 74 (+2) to finish tied for 3rd place. Scottsbluff also got a top ten finish from Wisley Mooc (+5, 77).
Wheatland finished third followed by Chadron, Cheyenne Central, and Gering was sixth on their home course.
Jack Maser was the top finisher for Gering with a round of 79 (+7) which was good for a tie for 9th place.
