Minatare Man Facing Drug and Weapons Charges

A $300,000 bond has been set for a rural Minatare man accused of illegally selling drugs and firearms.

32-year-old Brent Tinnell was arrested Thursday on charges of Distribution of an Exceptionally Hazardous Drug; Possession of a Short Shotgun; and Possession of a Firearm while Committing a Felony.

Court records say during one controlled buy, Tinnell sold a CI working for the WING Drug Task Force a sawed-off-shotgun . In a second controlled buy, Tinnell reportedly sold a .40 caliber handgun, ammunition, and 1.75 grams of methamphetamine.

Tinnell made his first appearance on the three felony charges Friday in Scotts Bluff County Court, with a preliminary hearing set for October 4, 2024.
