MINATARE- After a season that ended with a mark of 2-6, the Minatare Indians are back this fall and ready to build for the future.

They graduated three players from last season’s team, leaving the team with little experience coming into this season. However, a couple of junior returners and a solid class of around 6 freshmen and an overall feeling of eagerness to get back on the football field, has the Indians excited about the future.

Minatare picked up their two wins last season in back-to-back weeks against Creek Valley and Banner County. They will compete in the D6-6 district alongside Arthur County, Cody-Kilgore, Crawford, Hay Springs and Sioux County.

The Indians begin their season at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 29 on the road against Creek Valley.
