Time is running short for supporters of a variety of petitions to turn in signatures to get their issues before voters in November, including those backing a pair of medical marijuana initiatives.
Crista Eggers, Statewide Campaign Coordinator for Nebraskans for Medical Marijuana, issued a plea to the public Monday for state residents to support their efforts.
To make it on the ballot, supporters need to submit at least 87,000 verified voter signatures for each petition by the end of business on Wednesday, July 3rd.
They still need 12,000 Nebraskans to come out and sign in the next two days.
