February 23rd, 2024 | Ryan Murphy

A 45-year-old McGrew man facing a trio of felony charges stemming from his October arrest will not be standing trial.

Scottsbluff Police made contact with Christopher Scala, who had several warrants for his arrest… and when searched, officers found a stolen handgun and more than 10 grams of methamphetamine.

Last week in District Court he pleaded no contest to Possession of Meth with Intent to Distribute, and in exchange for his plea the weapons charges were dismissed. He faces a prison sentence ranging from 1 to 50 years when he’s back in court on April 5th .
