A Scottsbluff man who earlier this year drove to the Gering jail, impersonated an officer, and subsequently got arrested has been sentenced to the maximum jail sentence.

Back in January, 43-year-old Dominic Flores drove to the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center and told staff that he was a Cheyenne County officer there to transport an inmate back to Sidney. After a brief investigation, jail staff found that to be a lie and Flores was subsequently arrested for Impersonating a Peace Officer.

On Wednesday he was sentenced to the full 365 days in jail, but received 52 days for time already served.
