A Lyman man is facing several charges including felony drug distribution after authorities catch him driving on a suspended license last week.

In court records, Scottsbluff Police say they saw 28-year-old Travis Buckley driving a white Nissan with deeply tinted windows last Thursday afternoon, and knowing he didn’t have a valid driver’s license, pulled him over on a city street.

Officers say when he exited the car, Buckley tossed a wad of cash onto the trunk, and when he was searched, they found a green ziplock baggy with a white crystal substance that tested positive for meth, and weighed nearly 11 grams.

Buckley made an initial appearance in County Court Friday on charges that include distribution of a controlled substance, meth, and no drug tax stamp.

Bond was set at $80,000 ten percent, and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for Aug. 16.
