A Lyman man who was arrested in August after getting caught with drugs and cash following a traffic stop has agreed to a plea deal to avoid standing trial.

27-year-old Travis Buckley was caught with 11 grams of suspected meth, $378 in cash, and a digital scale after getting pulled over for dark window tints on his car.

Last month in District Court, he pleaded no contest to a charge of Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine, and in turn, the remaining three counts were dismissed.

He could face a prison sentence ranging from 1-50 years when he’s back in court in November for sentencing.
