A well-known community member who stepped out of public service not that long ago has accepted appointment to the Western Community College Area Board of Governors.
During the Board’s regular monthly meeting Wednesday, the Governors named Starr Lehl as the new District Three representative.
WNCC President Greg Dart tells KNEB News says the former economic development director for the city of Scottsbluff brings a lot to the table.
The board seat opened up after Misty Curtis stepped down to take over as Director of WNCC’s Alliance campus in July.
The appointed term runs through the end of December.
