The hard work from a local civic organization and the generosity from local individuals and businesses will pay dividends for Northfield Haven.
Leadership Scottsbluff hosted their annual Hoops 4 Heroes event last Friday at the Gering Civic Center. Attendees were able to enjoy college basketball games on the big screen, bid on a wide variety of silent auction items, and enjoy a nice spread of food and drink.
This year’s benefactor is the recently opened Northfield Haven in Gering, and proceeds from this year’s event will be donated so they can purchase a 15 passenger van. The Class of XXXIV is scheduled to present the check during a ceremony on April 17th once the final totals are calculated.
