The Scottsbluff and Gering volleyball teams are the focus today on KNEB.tv Sports as I was able to catch up with some of the key figures last week.
Scottsbluff is coming off a state tournament appearance last year but needs to replace plenty of firepower off that team while Gering is hoping to make a big jump this year with some talented youth coming back to help lead the charge.
There will be a big volleyball jamboree with preseason matches in town on Thursday as Scottsbluff and Gering will host 11 other schools. There will be matches at both schools (four gyms will be used).
Teams on hand will be Gordon-Rushville, Leyton, Bridgeport, Chadron, Bayard, Minatare, Hemingford, Hay Springs, Morrill, Crawford, and Alliance.
