The USDA released its first Crop Progress Report for the month of June. For the first time this year it included corn conditions which were up sharply from this time a year ago as traders expected.
Plantings were behind in many of the crops which has been predicted by analysts due to recent weather that moved through the United States.
As to be expected with the extra precipitation the moisture conditions for both topsoil and subsoil moisture were higher on this weeks report.
