Huskers start the year ranked 2nd

LINCOLN, Neb. – The AVCA volleyball rankings were released on Monday. Nebraska starts the season ranked second behind the team that beat them for the national title last season. Nebraska sits behind Texas as the top of the rankings. Nebraska faced off against Texas for a sixth national championship last season but was swept 3-0 in the NCAA Final. The Huskers finished the year (33-2). Nebraska will hold its annual Red/White scrimmage this Saturday night. Creighton is also picked to have another strong season as the Jays are picked 12th.
