Last week, Western Nebraska Community College hosted a Career & Internship Fair at Cougar Palace.

Employers from across the region were on hand to talk to students and other community members about possible opportunities.

Jordan Diedrich of Twin Cities Development explains why these events are important and why he was on hand.

“We really want to support WNCC in their efforts to help people find careers, TCD likes to help. Also, we have a website called WeHaveJobs.net where people can go to and find jobs that are in our local community. We help employers post jobs on WeHaveJobs.net. When employers do that, it posts automatically to 200 job boards.”

Diedrich also noted that they also had two positions open at TCD that they were hoping to fill in the very near future.

Approximately four dozen businesses and organizations were on hand for Wednesday’s Career and Internship Fair, with hundreds of attendees visiting the wide array of booths.
