The Goshen County community is mourning the loss of a young man following a drowning over Memorial Day Weekend.
On Sunday, The Torrington Volunteer Fire Department dispatched its dive rescue team for a call out at Packer Lake, located southeast of Huntley.
The body of the lone victim, identified as 25-year-old Joey Eaton of Torrington, was recovered.

Goshen County Sheriff’s Department, Torrington Fire Water Rescue, Lyman Fire/EMS and the Wyoming Game and Fish Department were dispatched and arrived on the scene a short time later. Scottsbluff Fire Department and AirLink also assisted in the search.
