Gering High School’s Speech team brought home the gold this week, winning the state team championship in Class B.
GHS qualified 11 entries into the finals in group and individual speech categories.
Top finishes by team members included Maddie Seiler, State Champion in the Informative and the Persuasive Speaking categories, Kaitlyn Peterson taking second in Program Oral Interpretation and two GHS teams taking second and third in Oral Interpretation of Drama.
