The Gering Platte Valley Companies seniors just keep winning baseball games.

On Wednesday night Gering improved to 14-4 on the season as they rolled past Chadron at Oregon Trail Park by the final of 12-4 in five innings.

The game got off to a bit of a rocky start as Chadron scored twice off Gering starter Bo Gable in the first inning but then Gering got those two back and then some in short order.

In the bottom of the first inning Gering scored 10 runs off Chadron starter Broc Berry.

Barron Williams had a RBI single then Mason Gaudreault ripped a two run single, then a flurry of walks and hit batters all while Gering put pressure on Chadron on the basepaths and PVC had basically put this one away before Chadron got to the plate in the second inning.

Gering got their 12 runs in the game on just three hits! Berry walked seven in his one inning of work.

Williams finished 2-2 with two runs scored and two RBI. Gering had four players that scored two runs in the big win.

Gable settled in to earn the win (5-0), he struck out seven over his five innings allowing four runs while walking three.

Gering is scheduled to host Casper in a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 1 pm.

In the juniors game last night B&C Steel rallied late to score five runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to beat Chadron 8-7 in five innings.
