It was a one sided affair on Wednesday night at Oregon Trail Park as Gering Platte Valley Companies needed only four innings to take care of the rival WESTCO Zephyrs, winning it 11-1.

In the second inning Gering sent 13 hitters to plate as they scored 8 runs on six hits plus there were three walks and two hit batters.

In the bottom of the fourth inning PVC scored two runs to close it out via the run rule as Che Molina ended the game with a RBI single.

Jackson Howard finished 3-3 with a pair of RBI while Kelan Dunn went 2-2 and drove in two runs.

On the mound it was Bo Gable getting the four inning complete game win, he allowed three hits and just one run while striking out three and issuing just one walk.

For the Zephyrs it was a second straight game that featured multiple base running mistakes while the offense struggled overall to generate scoring opportunities.

WESTCO starting pitcher Oscar Felix lasted just 1 2/3 innings allowing seven hits and five earned runs (eight runs total) while striking out just one and allowing one walk.

Gering with the win improved to 11-4 while the Zephyrs dropped to 7-11. Both teams are off the rest of the week and weekend.

In the juniors game it was the WESTCO Express winning it over B&C Steel 8-0.
