In high school softball on Tuesday night we had the broadcast of Gering’s big 25-11 road win over Alliance while Scottsbluff went on the road and beat Chadron 18-8.
In Gering’s win the Bulldogs got grand slams from Ava Escamilla and Jacelyn Brown while Danae Savala homered and drove in six runs as Gering put together an 18 hit attack. The winning pitcher in the circle was Libby Baum.
Gering with the win is now 3-6 on the season and they’ll host Chadron next Tuesday.
Scottsbluff’s win featured 16 hits offensively and homers from Bella Ramirez and Kay Michaelson while Loural McCoy got the win in the circle and Hallie Schneider struck out six in relief.
Scottsbluff improved to 7-0 on the season and they’ll visit Kearney for invite action this weekend.
