The Greenhouse in the Snow manufactured by an Alliance-based company has made it through to the second round of voting for the Coolest Thing Made in Nebraska.

Voting ended over the holiday weekend on 16 products made throughout the state, with the top eight advancing to the current round of bracket-style competition.

The geothermal greenhouse produced by Antioch Machine Shop is now going head-to-head for votes in a match-up with a fire truck produced by Danko Emergency Equipment.

Voting is open at nemanufacturingalliance.com through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, September 10.

The tournament leads Nebraskans into the annual celebration of NE Manufacturing Month next month, with the champion to be announced October 10 at the NE Chamber’s Manufacturing Summit in La Vista.
