Fusion Center informational meetings Friday in the Panhandle
March 7th, 2024 | News Release

Senator Hardin and the Nebraska State Patrol invite area residents to an informational meeting over the Nebraska Fusion Center. The Nebraska Fusion Center is a Homeland Security enterprise owned and operated within each state that serves as a focal point for receipt, analysis, gathering and sharing of threat-related information between local, state, federal and private law enforcement partners.

Fusion centers were established following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 to connect-the-dots between critical information housed in different agencies and share information and intelligence to aid in protecting communities. Fusion centers are the primary conduit between front-line personnel, state, and local leadership which assist in the collective review of information for the purpose of detecting, preventing and preparing for threats to public health and safety.
