The Nebraska Department of Revenue says with above-projected tax receipts in June, the state ended the fiscal year with total net General Fund revenue nearly spot-on to projections.

In a news release, State Tax Commissioner James Kamm says with the end of fiscal 2024, the General Fund received a total of $7.156 billion in revenue, just $10 million less than forecast.

Of note, net sales and use taxes, and individual income taxes, were 1.6 and 11.5 percent below the forecast for the year respectively.

Corporate income taxes were 23.2 percent above the fiscal 2024 projection by the Economic Forecasting Advisory Board, while Miscellaneous taxes came in 5.7 percent higher than anticipated.
