Nine felony charges have been filed against a Scottsbluff man who was being served an arrest warrant for failure to appear for an open container citation.

Officers made contact with 38-year-old William Dinges on Tuesday when he was leaving his East Overland residence Tuesday morning. Dinges was searched by officers, who found a baggie with suspected methamphetamine and more than $2,300 cash.

A search warrant for the home was obtained, where they found meth, cocaine, fentanyl, marijuana gummies, pills, and two handguns. Dinges is facing charges including Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession with Intent to Distribute, and seven counts of Possession of a Controlled substance.

He was arraigned on the charges Wednesday afternoon in Scotts Bluff County Court.
