Driver in Fatal Crash Remains at Large, Forfeits Bond

The driver in a double fatal crash in Morrill County this past May has forfeited his bond.

An arrest warrant was issued last this month for 31-year-old Aldo Hernandez Meza after he failed to appear for his arraignment.

Herendez- Meza had posted $2,000, which was 10 percent of his $20,000 bond, but after no-showing to answer to the charges, his full bond was forfeited.

Authorities say in May, Hernandez Meza was attempting enter a construction site on Highway 385, and failed the yield the right of way to a truck. The crash killed occupants Charles and Linda Dueker, and injured their son.
