A woman formerly of Gering and a traveling companion are the subject of a suspicious disappearance investigation in Oklahoma.

According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, their staff was called by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department for assistance in the disappearance of 39 year old Jillian Kelley and 27 year old Veronica Butler.

OSBI says their vehicle was found abandoned south of Elkhart, Kansas in rural Texas County, and special agents, along with local law enforcement agencies, are currently working to locate the two women.

Jillian is the wife of Heath Kelley, who studied at Platte Valley Bible College and recently became a pastor at Hugoton First Christian Church northwest of Liberal, Kansas.
