Day one State Swimming notes for Seacats

Yesterday was the first day of the NSAA State Swimming and Diving Championships and Scottsbluff/Gering Seacats head coach Vanessa Woolsey provided an update on the proceedings.

“We are incredibly proud of what the team was able to accomplish today. We are excited to be returning tomorrow for Finals and hope to see even more improvement on times!”

Day one notes

  • 200 Medley Relay placed 18th with a time of 1.48.14. 1) Wisley Mooc, 2) Tyler Fogle, 3) Harrison Maser, 4) Jacob Maser – With this placing, they are the 2nd alternate for finals. If by chance another team was to not show up to the blocks for their event, then our swimmers would have the opportunity to swim.
  • Wisley Mooc placed 13th in the 100 Free with a time of 49.20. With this placing, he will be swimming in finals tomorrow.
  • 200 Free Relay placed 19th with a time of 1.35.24. 1) Tyler Fogle, 2) Cameron Figg, 3) Harrison Maser, 4) Wisley Mooc.
  • Wisley Mooc placed 3rd in the 100 Back with a time of 53.51, also breaking our school record of 55.20 that was set by Zach Chain in 2005.
  • 400 Free Relay placed 29th with a time of 3.44.39. 1) Harrison Maser, 2) Adan Marquez, 3) Jacob Maser, 4) Tyler Fogle
