The new director of the Western Nebraska Community College Alliance campus will be a familiar face.

According to the agenda for the July WCCA Governor’s meeting, Misty Curtis stepped down from the Board June 26 after being selected to take the top administrative post for the campus in Box Butte County.

A Hemingford native with an extensive educational background, Curtis’ first day on the job was July 9.

During next week’s meeting, the Board of Governors is slated to approve the resignation and subsequent hiring decision, as well as declaring a vacancy on the Board for District 3 and starting the process to find Curtis’ successor.
