The Scotts Bluff County Tourism Committee is searching for interested parties to serve a 4-year term as a member of the board. Interested parties should represent a lodging property to include: hotels and motels, campgrounds, bed and breakfasts or lodges. A suitable candidate would be the owner or manager of the property.

The Tourism Advisory Committee meets quarterly in January, April, July and October. With the new grant program being introduced, April and October will be longer meetings and will require a full afternoon commitment. The group meets on the second Wednesday of the advertised months at 1:15 p.m. in the North Commissioners Room at the County Administration Building.

The purpose of the Committee is to serve in the advisory capacity to the Scotts Bluff County Board of Commissioners. The Tourism Committee consists of 7 at-large members and 1 Scotts Bluff County Commissioner liaison.  The term for this position runs through December 2028.  It is required that the committee member be able to attend the scheduled meetings.  We are seeking someone that is willing to make the meetings a commitment in order to better improve our scope of work.

Please send a cover letter, resume and paragraph expressing “why” the interest to serve on the committee.

The requested information must be postmarked by November 8, 2024, in order to be considered for the vacancy.
