A proposed utility-scale solar project for Scotts Bluff County comes before the County Planning Commission again tonight.
A request for a conditional use permit for the Situla Energy project had been tabled when it first appeared before the Commission at a public hearing in December.
The CUP would allow a 400 megawatt solar field and battery storage facility to be built on approximately 1400 acres of land about 14 miles southwest of Scottsbluff and Gering leased from the Preston Trust.
The meeting with another public hearing is slated to start at 6pm this evening in the Commissioner’s room at the County Administration building.
