Sophomore college rodeo standout Gage Davis is back for his second season with the Laramie County Community College Rodeo Team.
The Cody, Nebraska native competes in three events: team roping, steer wrestling, and calf roping. Davis has started the fall season strong, putting points on the board for the Golden Eagles at the first three rodeos of the season.
He attributes much of his success to the team atmosphere at LCCC, and his coach, Dean Finnerty.
“He pushes us, but lets us be “us,” said Davis. “You’re not on your own at LCCC. We have a good group.”
As of October 3, Davis is sitting 5th in the calf roping and 7th in the steer wrestling in the Central Rocky Mountain Region standings. Davis and the Golden Eagles will be back in action at their home rodeo October 11-13, 2024.
